Bora Bora: Beyonce-Inspired Flying Dress

Over Thanksgiving, Phil and I celebrated his 40th birthday in Bora Bora. Since the past couple years of the Pandemic has taught us just how short life is, we decided to bite the bullet and book plane tickets. I was SO nervous to leave the kids for the first time--especially since I only just weaned Sadie from nursing and we've all been tied at the hip since COVID hit.

Thankfully, my in-laws were able to stay at our house and watch the kids and everything went so well. Sharing photos today from a "flying dress" photoshoot we did on the beach in Bora Bora to commemorate one of the best trips of our lives.

This may have been the most "extra" shoot I've ever done (and roped Phil into doing with me!) but we were truly living our best lives so when in Bora Bora! I recently shared BTS videos from this shoot on my Instagram.

Nailing photos of this extra long train flying in the wind took some practice but the wind on the beach flows perfectly, we were able to nail some amazing shots.

The Flying Dress Photoshoot

The dress itself is one-size-fits-all and it's convertible. It comes in a number of colors. If you travel to Bora Bora, you can ask the front desk at your hotel if they work with any photographers who specialize in “flying dress” photoshoots and chances are, they will say yes. Our hotel, the Conrad helped to set this shoot up for us.

This would be such a fun engagement photoshoot for brides to do in a white dress  It would also epic for maternity shoots because the dress would frame the bump beautifully.

Stay tuned for upcoming Bora Bora posts where I'm going to share travel guides for anyone else dreaming of visiting this incredible island.  From where to stay and what to eat to the best excursions around the island, I’m excited to round up all of our faves.
